1. CONDITION SURVEY & STRUCTURAL EVALUATION OF STRUCTURES

Application areas include; condition survey of old and new Structures and forensic investigation as a part of quality audits.

Assessment scheme normally includes one or more of the following :

A.Visual inspection to ascertain visible deterioration and distress

B. Detailed In-situ concrete quality test for compressive strength and uniformity

C. In-situ reinforcement condition evaluations for probability and extent of corrosion

D. Cracks / splitting of concrete in Structural Elements

E. Identification of weak zones in the structures

F. Analysis of test data and assessment of strengthening required in the structure

2. Inspection services for RCC & steel Structures

Durability Assessment of Structures Most critical features of the structures affecting their durability are checked and parameters of are evaluated . Based on these parameters service life of structure is predicted . Following are some of the parameters which are taken in consideration for evaluating the durability of the RCC structures .

A.Concrete permeability measurement.

B. Surface defects such as detecting the location of honeycombing.

C. Prediction of mechanical properties of damaged concrete.

D. Measurement of concrete cover by covermeters.

E. Carbonation depth measurement in concrete.

F. Chloride, sulphate content and PH value.

G. Corrosion of steel rebar.

H. Crack analysis by crackoscope and Ultrasonic equipments.

I. Detecting location and extent of delamination.

3. Bridge Inspection and Structural Assessment

Application areas include; SHA of distressed bridges , assessment of the structural and durability performance of existing old bridge, flyovers, viaducts, subways and culverts.

A. Load testing and deflection measurements using strain gauges and transducers.

B. Condition assessment of structural steel components, welded and riveted connections by DPT , MPT & Ultrasonic tests.

C. Detecting distressed component & deteriorated area by visual inspection.

D. Indication of in situ condition of concrete and reinforcement.

E. Detailed non destructive testing.

4. Seismic Evaluation of Buildings

A. Rapid Visual Screening of buildings to assess seismic damageability and rehabilitation needs and identify the requirement for detailed evaluation.

B. Structural evaluation by seismic analysis, listing out deficiencies, design and methodology for remedial action.

C. Creation of as built structural drawing using various NDT techniques.

D. To identify simplified retrofitting requirements.
